Monmouth-based Rockfield Specialist Recruitment is seeking a skilled Technical Support Specialist to join their ambitious team. As a Technical Support Specialist, you will be responsible for undertaking network installations, server administration, and remote support for all elements of the customer's IT function.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Liaising with customers to diagnose problems
  • Resolving problems directly where possible
  • Logging issues with appropriate channels
  • Maintaining ongoing communications with customers until resolution
  • Testing issues and providing feedback to the development team

Requirements:

  • Proven experience working in a technical support role
  • A sound understanding of Windows (XP through to Win10)
  • Networking Knowledge - understanding of TCP/IP, routing, LAN and WAN, VPNs
  • Linux experience would be desirable
  • Ability to identify training needs and opportunities for creating training material
  • Active involvement in training sessions
