Role Overview

This is a full-time position at 40 hours per week, available only during term time. As Assistant Head of School / Deputy Head of SEN School, you will lead on school examinations and take responsibility in the Head's absence.

Main Responsibilities

  • Liaise with staff to develop school values and development plans.
  • Maintain strategic objectives and goals for the institution.
  • Monitor quality improvement plans and ensure effective implementation.
  • Lead the staff team and evaluate their progress.
  • Contribute to ongoing training and professional development of the team.
  • Enhance pupil achievement collaboratively with the teaching staff.
  • Evaluate and improve the effectiveness of the school curriculum.

Salary and Benefits

The estimated annual salary for this position is £60,000 - £80,000, depending on qualifications and experience. Additional benefits include Teachers' Pension, Life Assurance, Health Cash Back Plan, and High Street Discounts.

Requirements

  • Accredited training in special education (PMLD/SLD/ASD needs).
  • A recognized teacher training qualification (Cert Ed/PGCE/QTS or QTS/Teaching Diploma).
