Job Title: Registered Nurse

Discovery Care Group is seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our team. As a Registered Nurse, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality nursing care to our residents, ensuring their dignity, comfort, and respect are maintained at all times.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Clinical Care:
    • Develop and implement individualized care plans that cater to the unique needs of our residents.
    • Conduct regular assessments and evaluations to ensure the highest standard of care is maintained.
    • Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to ensure seamless care delivery.
    • Provide emotional support and guidance to residents and their families.
  • Medication Administration:
    • Administer medications accurately and in accordance with NMC standards and our nursing home's policies.
    • Maintain accurate and comprehensive medication administration records.
    • Monitor residents for adverse effects or reactions to medications and report any concerns to the GP or relevant healthcare professionals.
  • Care Planning:
    • Develop, implement, and review care plans in collaboration with residents, their families, and the multidisciplinary team.
    • Conduct regular reviews and assessments of residents' care plans to ensure they are updated in response to changing needs.
  • Leadership and Supervision:
    • Provide leadership and support to care staff, ensuring that care is delivered effectively and professionally.
    • Ensure that all care staff adhere to best practices, policies, and regulations.
  • Compliance and Documentation:
    • Maintain accurate and comprehensive records in accordance with NMC guidelines and our nursing home's policies.
    • Participate in audits, inspections, and assessments to ensure compliance with CQC standards and other regulatory requirements.
Qualifications and Skills:
  • Essential:
    • Registered Nurse (Adult) with a valid NMC Pin.
    • Proven experience in a clinical or nursing home setting.
    • Strong knowledge of CQC regulations and the NMC Code of Practice.
    • Ability to manage medication administration in a safe and timely manner.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Demonstrated ability to lead, supervise, and work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
