About the Role

We are seeking a qualified or soon to be qualified Psychological Wellbeing Practitioner to join our team at The Forward Trust, a social enterprise with charitable status that empowers people to break the cycles of crime, mental health, and addiction.

As a Psychological Wellbeing Practitioner, you will work with adults on an individual face-to-face basis or through facilitating therapeutic groups, providing assessment and low-intensity interventions, including guided self-help, CBT, and group work.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assess service users' suitability for evidence-based psychological interventions
  • Deliver a wide range of Cognitive Behavioural therapy-based interventions to individuals presenting with mild to moderate depression and anxiety
  • Provide patient-centred interviews to identify areas where individuals wish to see change and recovery
  • Assess and support prisoners with common mental health problems in self-management of their recovery
  • Maintain quality standards in the delivery of the service
Requirements
  • Qualified or soon to be qualified Psychological Wellbeing Practitioner
  • Experience of undertaking CBT assessments and delivering CBT and low-intensity interventions
  • Experience of working with people with mental health difficulties and those in primary care
