Job Title:

We are seeking a dedicated Special Needs Education Support Worker to join our team at Dunbar Education. This SEN Teaching Assistant role requires an individual who has experience working with children with special educational needs and can provide effective support to enhance their learning experience.

Main Responsibilities:
  • To assist in the planning and delivery of lessons to ensure that pupils receive a tailored education that meets their individual needs.
  • Supporting pupils with SEMH and challenging behaviour, and implementing strategies to promote positive relationships and reduce stress.
  • Contributing to the development of a supportive and inclusive classroom environment that fosters social, emotional, and academic growth.
Key Requirements:
  • Experience working with children in a school setting, preferably with those who have special educational needs.
  • Knowledge of SEN/SEMH or behaviour management techniques.
  • A genuine enthusiasm for working with children and making a positive impact on their education and wellbeing.
About the Position:
  • The successful candidate can expect an immediate start.
  • The hourly rate for this SEN Teaching Assistant role is £18.55-£22.36 per hour.
