About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Deputy Manager to join our team at Jollyes The Pet People. As a Deputy Manager, you will play a key role in supporting the Store Manager in the daily operations of the store, team management, store standards, stock management, and delivering exceptional customer service to our pet parents.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the Store Manager in managing the store's daily operations, including team management, store standards, and stock management.
  • Take full responsibility for running the store in the absence of the Store Manager, ensuring seamless operations and excellent customer service.
  • Lead by example, creating an excellent culture and working environment for your team, demonstrating our values of being Genuine, Wise, Eager, Focused, and Together.
  • Deliver exceptional customer service by providing a great shopping experience for customers and displaying strong pet and product knowledge.
  • Ensure the highest standards of pet care and promote responsible pet ownership.
Requirements
  • A passion for pets and people, with a proven track record of delivering exceptional customer service.
  • Previous retail management experience, with a strong background in team management, store standards, and stock management.
  • A team player, able to communicate effectively and build high-performing and highly engaged teams.
  • Demonstrate a proven track record in developing business performance and exceeding KPIs, while delivering the highest levels of store standards, including health and safety and legal compliance.
  • Commercially aware and proactive, with a strong understanding of the retail industry.
