Job Title: Aspiring Youth Justice Worker

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate individual to join our team as an Aspiring Youth Justice Worker. This role will provide you with essential restorative experience within anti-social and challenging settings, perfect for those considering a career in prison, rehabilitation, probation, or youth justice services.

About the Role

This Aspiring Youth Justice Worker role will give you hands-on experience working with vulnerable children, building strong, robust relationships to increase engagement, attainment, and life chances. You will work alongside teachers and specialist staff to support students with social, emotional, and mental health (SEMH) challenges and traumas.

Key Responsibilities
  • Identify risks and needs of students, escalating where necessary
  • Provide consistency and equip children and young people with tools to feel safe, secure, empowered, and believe they can succeed in life
  • Work with students who have suffered adverse childhood experiences and are more 'at risk' of negative outcomes
Person Specification

We are looking for someone who is passionate about helping children and young people achieve their full potential. You will need excellent interpersonal skills, the ability to communicate effectively, and be able to build confidence and motivation. You must be approachable, able to build robust and effective relationships with students, and remain calm and resilient in situations of stress or conflict.

What We Offer

Excellent on-site training, support, and CPD is provided to ensure safeguarding of all students. You will be working in a small, specialist school near Guildford, with a deep focus on addressing the educational, social, and therapeutic needs of students. The role is term-time only, with a competitive daily rate of £80-£85.
