Job Title: Aspiring Youth Justice Worker

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate individual to join our team as an Aspiring Youth Justice Worker. This role will provide you with the opportunity to work with vulnerable children and young people, supporting them to achieve their full potential.

About the Role:

This Aspiring Youth Justice Worker role will give you hands-on experience working with children and young people who have social, emotional, and mental health (SEMH) challenges and traumas. You will work alongside teachers and specialist staff to identify risks and needs, escalating where necessary. Your role will be instrumental in providing consistency and equipping children and young people with tools to ensure they feel safe, secure, empowered, and believe that they can succeed in life.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support children and young people with SEMH challenges and traumas
  • Work alongside teachers and specialist staff to identify risks and needs
  • Provide consistency and support to children and young people
  • Equip children and young people with tools to ensure they feel safe, secure, empowered, and believe that they can succeed in life
Person Specification:
  • Passionate about helping children and young people achieve their full potential
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively
  • Able to build confidence and motivation
  • Approachable, and able to build robust and effective relationships with students
  • Able to remain calm and resilient when placed in situations of stress or conflict
  • High levels of empathy, caring, compassionate, and a good listener
  • Motivated and enthusiastic, with a professional approach to work
