About the Role

Asta Capital Limited is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Syndicate Client Manager to join our team. As a key member of our client management team, you will be responsible for building and maintaining strong relationships with our syndicate partners, ensuring their needs are met and exceeded.

Key Responsibilities
  • Client Relationship Management
    • Develop and maintain strong relationships with syndicate stakeholders, including Chairs of Syndicate Boards and senior syndicate staff.
    • Provide a key point of contact for syndicates to raise and resolve escalations and ad hoc queries.
  • Strategic Alignment
    • Maintain a clear understanding of syndicate needs and Asta's agreed service offering.
    • Seek to align Asta and syndicate strategic objectives, including commercial considerations.
  • Onboarding and Embedding
    • Partner with the Business Development team to onboard and embed new syndicates into the Asta framework.
    • Work with syndicates, across Asta functions, and with Lloyd's to ensure expectations and processes are clearly defined, understood, and operating effectively.
  • Issue Resolution
    • Proactively facilitate the resolution of long-standing actions or issues.
    • Work with syndicates and across Asta functions to clarify and close actions.
  • Governance and Reporting
    • Support the internal Asta governance framework by being an active member of various Syndicate Boards and Asta committees.
    • Responsible for various reports to the Syndicate Boards and other committees.
  • Knowledge Sharing
    • Share knowledge and information across Asta functions to improve the quality-of-service Asta provide to syndicates.
Requirements

    • Self-motivated with a proactive approach to achieving objectives and solving problems.
  • Interpersonal and Communication Skills
    • Excellent interpersonal skills, working collaboratively to build strong relationships both internally and externally.
    • Good presentation and communication skills, with the ability to appropriately challenge both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Organizational and Time Management Skills
    • Good organizational skills with the ability to adapt to changing priorities and manage multiple deadlines across multiple stakeholders.
  • Technical Skills and Knowledge
    • Broad understanding of how a syndicate operates within the Lloyd's market across various functions.
    • Understanding of the governance/risk/compliance/regulatory responsibilities of a Lloyd's Managing Agent.
    • Experienced in dealing with stakeholders - managing a portfolio of clients across key business functions.
    • Experienced in delivering strategic priorities across different businesses.
