We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Midwife to join our Maternity Governance team at Sherwood Forest Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. As a Clinical Governance Specialist, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the highest standards of care and patient safety across our maternity services.
Key Responsibilities- Lead on service and quality improvement initiatives in clinical governance and risk management
- Collaborate with the multi-disciplinary team to achieve consistency of practice and high standards of care
- Develop and implement strategies to improve patient safety and reduce risk
- Work closely with the Governance Team to ensure effective governance and risk management practices
- Provide leadership and guidance to staff to achieve their full potential
- Registered Midwife with a degree or equivalent qualification
- Experience as a Band 6 Midwife with a strong background in clinical governance and risk management
- Excellent communication and leadership skills
- Ability to work in partnership with staff to achieve quality improvement initiatives
- Knowledge of statutory regulations governing nursing and midwifery
