About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Transformation Principal Investments Lead to join our team at Barclays Bank UK PLC. As a key member of our Principal Investments team, you will play a critical role in supporting change programmes within the bank.

Key Responsibilities
  • Functional Design: Collaborate with Line SMEs to analyze options and provide recommendations for decision-making, leveraging best practice concepts.
  • Data Analysis/Modelling/Governance: Design conceptual data models and governance requirements in accordance with GDMS standards and principles.
  • End-to-End Process & Controls: Develop target process and controls design/documentation and operational runbooks, aligning these components with organisational and role/service model design definitions.
  • Delivery/Implementation Support: Update design/functional requirements throughout the development cycle and resolve RAIDS related to functional requirements and business processes.
  • Functional Testing: Develop scripts and data to test alignment to requirement definitions, ahead of user testing cycles.
Assistant Vice President Expectations
  • Consult on Complex Issues: Provide advice to People Leaders to support the resolution of escalated issues.
  • Risk Mitigation: Identify ways to mitigate risk and develop new policies/procedures in support of the control and governance agenda.
  • Risk Ownership: Take ownership for managing risk and strengthening controls in relation to the work done.
  • Collaboration: Collaborate with other areas of work to keep up to speed with business activity and the business strategy.
  • Complex Analysis: Engage in complex analysis of data from multiple sources of information, internal and external sources.
  • Communication: Communicate complex information, including sensitive information or information that is difficult to communicate because of its content or its audience.
  • Influence and Convincing: Influence or convince stakeholders to achieve outcomes.

All colleagues will be expected to demonstrate the Barclays Values of Respect, Integrity, Service, Excellence, and Stewardship, as well as the Barclays Mindset to Empower, Challenge, and Drive. As a Transformation AVP at Barclays, you will work in a challenging role to support change programmes within the bank.

Your initial assignment will be to support the Principal Investments team to on-board a new valuations platform. The role will require strong data collation skills, working closely with 3rd party suppliers and good attention to detail. The ideal candidate will have strong project management skills, a history of working with data, strong Excel skills, and the ability to work as part of a small local team and broader global team.
