Role: Building Regulations Principal Designer

We are seeking an experienced and competent building regulations professional to join our team. The successful candidate will deliver the Building Regulations Principal Designer role to a diverse portfolio of clients across the built environment.

This role has been created off the back of changes in the industry related to the Building Safety Act, and our business wanting to integrate their PD and BSA service offering.

The Building Regs PD will support our clients and help navigate changes affecting the industry and ensure building regs compliance is achieved.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Carry out building inspections, plan checks, site visits, surveys, and prepare reports.
  • Offer advice around the Building Safety Act and ensure compliance on projects.
  • Liaise with Principal Designer, Principal Contractor, and other parties.
  • Undertake plan checks submitted for Building Regulation approval.
  • Inspect properties and buildings at key stages of the building process.
  • Attend client and design team meetings to offer professional input relating to building regs compliance.
  • Provide technical advice to clients, contractors, developers, colleagues, and key stakeholders.
  • Ensure projects are completed in line with current building regulations and legislation.
