Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Senior Care Assistant to join our team at Oak Springs Care Home. As a Senior Care Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional care and support to our residents, ensuring their physical, emotional, and social needs are met.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide high-quality care and support to residents, including personal care, hygiene, and daily activities.
  • Support residents with emotional and social needs, promoting a sense of community and well-being.
  • Work collaboratively with the care team to develop and implement individualized care plans.
  • Contribute to the maintenance of a clean and safe environment, adhering to health and safety standards.
  • Participate in training and development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge.
  • Support the Home Manager in supervising and mentoring junior staff members.

Requirements

  • Supervisory/leadership experience in a residential or nursing home setting.
  • A positive outlook and warm personality, with excellent communication skills.
  • Level 3 qualification in Health and Social Care or willingness to work towards.
  • Confident in record-keeping and the use of various technologies.
  • Able to remain calm and guide colleagues under pressure.
  • Flexibility to work shift patterns according to the needs of our residents.
