Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Civils Works Manager to join our team at Galliford Try. This role will be responsible for the day-to-day running of projects, working closely with the Project Manager and Project Team to deliver safe, on-time, and on-budget results.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage a skilled and highly motivated Civils Team, ensuring daily and forever-changing challenges are addressed on multiple sites.
  • Order and purchase materials, as well as logistical planning, to support project delivery.
  • Conduct daily briefings, implement RAMS, and control measures to ensure team safety and efficiency.
  • Guide the business in an integrated and collaborative manner through the civils phase of projects.
Requirements:
  • A proven track record in the civil engineering industry, with experience in reinforced concrete, deep drainage, and earth removal.
  • Management experience dealing with operational teams at all levels.
  • Preferred experience on Scottish Water, Environment Agency, or similar projects.
  • Preferred qualifications include NVQ in civil engineering, SMSTS, First Aid, Street works supervisor, and a full and clean UK driving licence.
