About the Position

We are recruiting for a Student Mentor to join our team at a thriving secondary school in Wandsworth. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced and passionate professional to make a real difference in the lives of young people.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supporting students in achieving their academic potential, including providing individualized guidance and mentoring.
  • Working closely with teachers and other school staff to develop and implement strategies to improve student outcomes.
  • Conducting regular progress meetings with students to set and review targets, and monitoring their progress over time.
  • Developing and maintaining effective relationships with parents and carers, keeping them informed of student progress and any challenges arising.
  • Contributing to the overall ethos of the school, promoting a culture of respect, inclusivity, and high expectations.
Requirements
  • Experience working with young people, preferably in an educational setting.
  • Strong administrative skills, with the ability to manage paperwork and data entry.
  • Good behaviour management skills, with the ability to de-escalate conflicts and promote positive behaviour.
Salary and Benefits

The salary for this role is £25,000 - £28,000 per annum, depending on experience, plus benefits including Enhanced DBS Disclosure, professional reference checks, and Overseas Police Clearances.
