**Job Overview**

We are seeking an experienced Habilitation Specialist to join our team in Wandsworth, London. As a Habilitation Specialist, you will be responsible for delivering a comprehensive program to support children and young people with sensory impairment.

About the Role

  1. Caseload Management: You will work with a maximum of 40 pupils on your caseload, providing individualized support to help them develop essential life skills and maximize their potential for independence.
  2. Regulatory Compliance: You must demonstrate a thorough understanding of national standards and ensure strict adherence to maintain a safe and nurturing environment.
  3. Collaboration: You will work closely with a small team of experienced professionals to provide high-quality support to children and young people across the borough.
  4. Flexibility: The role requires visiting children and young people in their school or home environment, as well as routes in between.
  5. Professional Development: We offer opportunities for career growth and development within Special Educational Needs.

Qualifications and Experience

  • You have proven experience as a Habilitation Specialist or are a qualified Rehabilitation Worker willing to undertake additional recognized qualifications.
  • Good understanding of quality standards for Habilitation.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively with children, families, and professionals.
  • Experience working with children with vision impairment is highly desirable.

The successful candidate will possess a passion for making a positive impact on vulnerable children and young people's lives. We offer a competitive salary of £36,426 - £44,139 per annum, flexible working, and a generous pension plan.
