About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Estimator to join our team at Vistry Group PLC. As an Estimator, you will play a crucial role in providing accurate and timely cost information to support our business operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide up-to-date cost information to Group Commercial through benchmarking and analysis.
- Attend development meetings, contract pre-start, and subcontract package review meetings to ensure accurate cost estimates.
- Carry out pre-order meetings, including health and safety requirements, and finalize tender sums.
- Check and arrange subcontractor payments, obtaining necessary authorizations for passing payments for all elements of subcontractor works.
- Produce internal BOQs for all elements of Vistry Works production.
- Place subcontractor orders, including interviews and checking references on selected subcontractors.
- Issue variation orders and development changes, providing cost advice on major variations prior to issue.
- Check and arrange subcontractor payments, obtaining necessary authorizations for passing payments for all elements of subcontractor works.
- Agree final accounts with subcontractors, ensuring all works have been carried out within budget and analyzing costs to assist on future estimates.
- Promote the expansion and maintenance of good working relations with all internal and external stakeholders.
- Ensure all relevant stakeholders are informed of key departmental developments.
- Maintain open lines of communication with colleagues across all regions.
- Provide support to the Group Sustainability & Social Value agenda.
