Job Title: Fire Health and Safety Coordinator

We are seeking an experienced Fire Health and Safety Advisor to join our team in London, UK.

Job Description:

The successful candidate will be responsible for undertaking fire safety risk assessments, providing expert advice and support to colleagues, and assisting in the development and review of training programs.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Undertake fire safety risk assessments for all sites and develop, track, and support colleagues in completing the health and safety premises checklist.
  2. Provide expert advice and support to colleagues on the application and interpretation of health and safety legislation.
  3. Assist in the coordination and monitoring of actions arising from fire risk assessments, including 3rd party fire risk assessments.
  4. Be responsible for the planning and undertaking of fire risk assessments at all sites agreed with the client.
  5. Provide input into the development and review of the training program for fire safety.
  6. Deliver corporate induction training and fire evacuation training on inpatient wards.
  7. Develop and manage communication chains with external regulatory bodies, as appropriate.
Requirements:
  1. Degree in a fire-related discipline or equivalent specialist training to diploma level or equivalent experience.
  2. Substantial experience in a fire safety role.
  3. Registered as a fire risk assessor with a recognized accredited body.
  4. NEBOSH National General Certificate.
  5. Experience of working in a healthcare environment, particularly in-patient units, or similar.
  6. Extensive experience, knowledge, and application of fire safety, fire risk management, fire legislation, and codes of practice, and building regulations.
  7. Experience of developing and implementing fire safety and health & safety strategy, policies, and procedures.
  8. Experience of fire safety training delivery.
  9. Comprehensive knowledge of fire safety legislation.
