Moon Executive Search is delighted to be retained search partners to Society for Endocrinology (SfE) as we bring to market their prestigious CEO opportunity for the first time in almost 10 years.

About the Organisation

Society for Endocrinology is a membership organisation with an impressive history of over 70 years supporting scientists, clinicians, nurses, and associated healthcare professionals who work with hormones throughout their careers.

They also engage policymakers, journalists, patients, and the public with hormone science to encourage informed health decisions and demonstrate the value of endocrinology to the wider world.

About the Position

The CEO will be responsible for ensuring that both components of SfE Group, including Bioscientifica Ltd, fulfil their charitable and commercial objectives and work co-operatively.

Key Responsibilities

  • Formulate and successfully implement SfE strategy and policy
  • Direct strategy towards the profitable growth and operation of Bioscientifica Ltd
  • Ensure robust operational planning, governance, and financial control systems
  • Lead from the front to drive sustainability and impact

Requirements

  • Demonstrable national-level expertise in charity governance and/or academic publishing (science, medicine, etc.)
  • Ability to spearhead and inspire confidence at all levels, both internally and externally
  • Full accountability to the Council and the Bioscientifica Ltd board for all Group operations
  • Commercial and business development approaches that are stretching, innovative, and reflect longer-term Group objectives
