Job Summary:

We are seeking a part-time Counsellor to join our team at WhereToTalk, providing a specialist psychological therapy service for anxiety and depression to clients from the NHS Talking Therapies service.

Main Responsibilities:

  1. Provide qualified specialist psychological therapy services for anxiety and depression to clients from the NHS Talking Therapies service.
  2. Offer advice and consultation on clients' psychological care to colleagues and other non-professional carers.
  3. Supervise other colleagues, including trainee High Intensity Therapists and Psychological Wellbeing Practitioners.
  4. Work autonomously within professional guidelines and contribute to research skills for audit, policy, and service development.
  5. Attend and complete training to achieve essential Cognitive Behavioural Therapist or Psychotherapeutic Counsellor qualifications.

Requirements:

We are seeking a Counsellor who has experience in a NHS Talking Therapies counselling modality, such as Counselling for Depression, Interpersonal Therapy, DIT, Couples Therapy for Depression, or a willingness to train in one or more of these.
