Counsellor Required for NHS Doncaster Talking Therapies Service

We are seeking a part-time Counsellor to join our team at the NHS Doncaster Talking Therapies service. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a well-established service providing a stepped care, evidence-based model for the treatment of common mental health problems.

The successful candidate will be a qualified Counsellor with the energy, enthusiasm, and skills to deliver high-quality talking therapies. They will be hard-working and able to meet specified targets to provide a specialist psychological therapy service for anxiety and depression to clients.

Main Responsibilities:

  1. Provide specialist psychological assessment and therapy to clients using one or more psychological therapy models specified by the NHS Talking Therapies for anxiety and depression Manual.
  2. Offer advice and consultation on clients' psychological care to colleagues and other non-professional carers.
  3. Supervise other colleagues, including trainee High Intensity Therapists and Psychological Wellbeing Practitioners.
  4. Contribute to research skills for audit, policy, and service development within the area served by the team/service.

We are looking for a Counsellor who is committed to making a difference within our service. It would be desirable for applicants to be trained in a NHS Talking Therapies counselling modality, such as Counselling for Depression, Interpersonal Therapy, DIT, Couples Therapy for Depression, or a willingness to train in one or more of these.

This is a permanent part-time position, working 33.75 hours per week. The salary is £46,148 to £52,809 per annum pro rata. If you are a motivated and skilled Counsellor looking for a new challenge, please apply for this exciting opportunity.
