Specialist Support Assistant

Teaching Personnel is seeking a highly skilled SEN Support Teaching Assistant to work in a local Primary School in Preston.
The successful candidate will provide 1:1 support to a pupil with Autism in Year 1, enhancing their educational experience and promoting inclusivity within the classroom.
This part-time position requires a calm and patient individual who can adapt to changing circumstances, maintaining a positive demeanor at all times.
Key Responsibilities:- Part-time morning sessions (8:15 - 12:30)
- Deliver guided reading activities to support the pupil's literacy development
- Assist with class-time interactions, ensuring seamless integration with the teaching team
To excel in this role, you must possess:
- A deep understanding of SEN needs and how to cater to them effectively
- Excellent communication skills, enabling you to build strong relationships with pupils, teachers, and parents alike
- Proven experience working with students with diverse SEN requirements
We offer a competitive salary range of £22,000 - £25,000 per annum, commensurate with your experience. Additionally, you will receive comprehensive free child protection and prevent duty training.
