Occupational Therapist for Neurological Rehabilitation Services
4 days ago
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a qualified HCPC registered Occupational Therapist to join our team at Birmingham Community Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust.
The role involves working as part of an interdisciplinary team to provide high-quality Occupational Therapy services to clients with complex impairments, predominantly significant neurological disabilities.
Key responsibilities include delivering rehabilitation programs and interventions within local and regional settings, which may involve moving around the community without direct support on a daily basis. This includes driving potentially long periods each day.
The post will rotate annually across various services, including West Midlands Rehabilitation Centre and Moseley Hall Hospital. You will work in different environments, such as hospitals, clients' homes, or communities, treating patients with complex disabilities, particularly those related to neurological conditions like ABI, MS, or communication impairments.
This position requires relevant clinical experience in neurology and the assessment of complex disabilities. A car driver is necessary to enable travel to community patients. Additionally, you must be willing to develop new skills as the services evolve.
A competitive salary of £43,685 - £51,041 (AfC Band 5/6) reflects the importance of this role in providing top-notch care to patients with complex needs.
