Role Overview:

We are seeking a Principal Mechanical Engineer to join our Defence sector team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for leading the mechanical design on larger projects, collaborating with other design disciplines to ensure the integration of the overall design or solution.

You will manage project teams with up to 10 people, providing technical guidance and support to team members, and ensuring the resolution of any issues that may arise.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with other design disciplines to ensure the successful delivery of projects.

Requirements:

  • BSc/BEng or MSc/MEng in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
  • Chartered Engineer (CEng) status.
  • Previous experience working in a similar role, preferably in a consultancy environment.
  • Experience working on Nuclear or Defence projects is desirable.
  • Ability to support and lead junior engineers.
  • Existing BPSS clearance or the ability to pass BPSS security clearance is essential.
