Cardiac Nurse Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Community Cardiac Nurse Specialist to join our team at CSH Surrey. As a key member of our community services provider, you will play a vital role in optimizing the management of people with heart failure in the Surrey locality.
Main Responsibilities:- Communicate sensitive information and bad news to patients and carers in a supportive and empathetic manner.
- Teach patients and their carers to manage their heart failure effectively, aiming to prevent short-term and long-term complications.
- Act as an advocate for patients, particularly in residential homes, ensuring they receive the necessary support and facilities to manage their heart failure.
- Maintain and develop effective working relationships with nursing and medical colleagues throughout partnership working.
- Provide advice and information on heart failure to medical and nursing colleagues and the general public.

Person Specification:- Up-to-date knowledge of current clinical and professional issues.
- BLS certification.
- Good organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and unsupervised.
- Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Counselling skills.
- RGN or equivalent HCPC qualification.
- BSc or equivalent qualification in profession.
- Advanced Clinical Assessment skills.
- ENB 998 Teaching and assessing or equivalent.
- Independent non-medical prescriber V300.
- Qualified for 5 years with 2 years cardiac nursing experience.
- Evidence of CPD at Level 7.
This post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975, and as such, it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service (formerly known as CRB) to check for any previous criminal convictions.
The salary for this role is £48,270 to £54,931 per annum, inclusive of a 5% High Cost Area allowance.
