Job Summary

The NHS is seeking a skilled Cardiac Nurse Specialist to join our team in Surrey. This role is designed to optimize the management of people with heart failure, reducing unnecessary hospital admissions and providing a link between GPs and specialist teams.

Main Responsibilities
  • Communicate sensitive information and bad news to patients and carers in an empathetic and supportive manner.
  • Act as an advocate for patients, ensuring they receive the understanding and facilities they need to manage their heart failure.
  • Maintain and develop effective joint working relationships with nursing and medical colleagues.
  • Provide advice and information on heart failure to medical and nursing colleagues and the general public.

This is an exciting opportunity to work with a dedicated team of healthcare professionals, providing education and support to patients and carers. The successful candidate will have up-to-date knowledge of current clinical and professional issues, as well as good organizational and communication skills.

Requirements
  • RGN or equivalent HCPC qualification.
  • BSc or equivalent qualification in profession.
  • Advanced Clinical Assessment skills.
  • ENB 998 Teaching and assessing or equivalent.
  • Independent non-medical prescriber V300.
  • Qualified for 5 years with 2 years cardiac nursing experience.
  • Evidence of CPD at Level 7.
Salary and Benefits

The salary for this role is £48,270 to £54,931 per annum, inclusive of a 5% High Cost Area allowance. The NHS offers excellent training and development opportunities, as well as a range of benefits, including NHS pay and pensions.
