Job Description:

As an Education Support Professional, you will be working with students who have complex needs and challenging behaviors in an alternative provision site in Chesterfield. Your role is to support these students in engaging with their learning, managing their behavior, and developing positive relationships with them.

This is a highly rewarding opportunity to make a significant impact on the lives of students who require additional support. You will work closely with teachers and other support staff to create a safe and inclusive learning environment that promotes student well-being and academic progress.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support students in lessons to engage with their learning and manage their behavior
  • Work with students in small groups or one-to-one to develop their social and emotional skills
  • Build positive relationships with students and contribute to a supportive classroom environment
  • Communicate effectively with teachers and other staff members to ensure seamless support for students

Requirements:

  1. You should have good knowledge and experience of working with students with challenging behaviors
  2. Having an affinity for students with behaviour, emotional and social difficulties is essential
  3. Be resilient and hold high expectations from all students
  4. Access to a car and be willing to add business insurance
  5. An enhanced DBS on the update service
