Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled HGV Class 2 Driver/Highways Operative to join our team at WP Recruitment. As a key member of our civil engineering team, you will be responsible for operating heavy goods vehicles and performing various tasks related to highways maintenance.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct vehicle checks and perform basic maintenance to ensure safe operation.
  • Collect and deliver materials, unloading vehicles and using barrows as needed.
  • Participate in tarmacking, kerbing, concreting, and general groundwork activities.
  • Adhere to technical specifications, schedules, standards, and health and safety protocols.

Requirements:
  • Valid Category C Licence and commercial driving experience.
  • Experience in civil engineering, construction, or highways industry.
  • Flexibility with duties and ability to undertake manual handling tasks.
  • Physical fitness due to the nature of the job.
  • Ability to work well as part of a team and independently.

Salary and Benefits:
