About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled GIS & BI Analyst to join our Business Intelligence Projects Team. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in supporting the delivery and use of geospatial data across our organization.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design, specify, and implement GIS systems, spatial databases, and maximize their use by delivering easy-to-use, accessible systems.
  • Provide complex GIS data analysis, visualizations, and insights for internal and external clients.
  • Lead the coordination and prioritization of GIS requests in relation to key projects across the business.
  • Work with the BI Projects Team Leader to raise staff awareness of GIS usage, explaining its benefits in simple, non-technical terms.
  • Assist with keeping our data up to date and maximizing the use of external datasets.
  • Be an advocate for a data culture across the business, ensuring data is complete and accurate.
  • Support corporate projects, collaborating with data owners and subject matter experts to design and develop tools for presenting routine spatial data analysis.
  • Escalate issues with data accuracy or system usage to ensure prompt and satisfactory resolution.
Requirements
  • Previous experience in a GIS-related role.
  • Proficiency in GIS desktop software (Cadcorp SIS, QGIS, ESRI) and data management.
  • Numerical skills with the ability to analyze data and statistics.
  • Excellent ICT skills, including Microsoft applications and technology such as mobile phones, tablets, and laptops.
  • Understanding and knowledge of SQL desirable.
  • UK driving license and access to a car desirable.
