Job Title: Senior Procurement Sourcing Manager Marketing

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Procurement Sourcing Manager to lead our Marketing category sourcing efforts. As a key member of our procurement team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing sourcing strategies that drive breakthrough results for Direct Line Group.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the annual Category Planning cycle for complex, high-value, and high-risk categories to identify demand, specification, and supply chain opportunities.
  • Engage with senior partners to influence the conversion of category plans to deliver a pipeline of savings and value aligned to the business strategy.
  • Lead complex end-to-end sourcing activity, including sourcing plans, tenders, complex supplier negotiations, and contract arrangements.
  • Support all commercial aspects of implementation, including onboarding and exit of suppliers, change management requests, and work with Commercial Managers on ongoing supplier management issues and disputes.
  • Operate in a regulated industry.
  • Coach and manage sourcing managers to set goals, manage workload, and performance reviews.

Requirements:

  • Experience of sourcing in the Marketing category, including media, creative, and the wider supply chain.
  • Category Planning (strategy) expertise and the ability to demonstrate experience leading complex sourcing activity.
  • Commercial acumen.
  • The role requires you to work with Senior Partners to build relationships in the spirit of an important business partner.
  • People management skills: leading through mentoring, the ability to support development of junior members, and manage small remote teams.
