We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEMH Teaching Assistant to join our team at GSL Education. As a SEMH Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting teachers and students in KS2, working closely with our experienced educators to provide targeted interventions and ensure each child has access to the curriculum.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist students in their learning and provide targeted support
- Work closely with teachers to develop and implement individualized plans
- Provide a safe and encouraging learning environment for pupils
- Communicate effectively with teachers, students, and parents
- Participate in staff meetings and contribute to the development of the school's SEMH program
Requirements:
- Previous experience working with children with Behaviour needs in a school setting
- Strong knowledge and understanding of safeguarding and child protection
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- DBS registered to the update service or willingness to apply
