Job Description:

We are seeking a dedicated and caring Teaching Assistant to join our team at GSL Education. As a SEMH Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting teachers and students in KS2. Your primary responsibility will be to assist students in their learning, provide targeted interventions, and ensure that each child has access to the curriculum.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support teachers in the classroom, providing individualized attention to students with Behaviour needs
  • Develop and implement targeted interventions to support students with Behaviour needs
  • Assist with lesson planning and preparation, ensuring that students with Behaviour needs are fully integrated into the curriculum
  • Communicate effectively with teachers, students, and parents to ensure a smooth and supportive learning environment

Requirements:

  • Previous experience working with children with Behaviour needs in a school setting
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • DBS registered to the update service or willingness to apply for one
