Senior Social Work Professional

This exciting opportunity for a Senior Social Worker has arisen in the Inverness West Urban Social Work team, where you will share your expertise as an experienced practitioner and support the Social Work Team Manager in their duties and responsibilities.

The successful candidate will work alongside the Social Work Team Manager, providing leadership, advice, support, and guidance to social workers and social care staff within the District Team. This will involve meeting professional standards and service objectives as set out in legislation, policy, guidance, and delegated responsibilities.

To be eligible for this role, applicants must be registered with the Scottish Social Services Council on the 'Social Worker' part of the Register and hold a qualification recognized by the SSSC as equivalent to the Diploma in Social Work (DipSW).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide leadership and guidance to social workers and social care staff
  • Support the Social Work Team Manager in their duties and responsibilities
  • Meet professional standards and service objectives

Requirements:

  • Registration with the Scottish Social Services Council on the 'Social Worker' part of the Register
  • Qualification recognized by the SSSC as equivalent to the Diploma in Social Work (DipSW)

NHS Scotland is committed to reducing its full-time working week from 37.5 to 37 hours per week from 1 April 2024, with no change in pay. This reduction will also be applied pro rata for part-time staff.
