ESG Assurance Director

About the Role:
The Green Recruitment Company is seeking an ambitious ESG Director of Assurance & Advisory to lead our growing team of experts at an exciting time of investment and business opportunity.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the team's ambitious growth plans, delivering ESG assurance and advice to clients in a range of industry sectors, supporting their regulatory and commercial ESG obligations and ambitions.
- Be the subject matter expert across the firm on changes to sustainability/ESG regulations and reporting requirements.
- Originate and develop a pipeline of prospects, ensuring teams' practices and service offerings are compliant with assurance standards.
- Partner with board-level executives on complex ESG issues, negotiating and influencing where required.
- Utilize your understanding of ESG and market insights on trends and technology to identify opportunities for client coverage and growth.
- Maintain the quality of engagements, with a focus on improvement and feedback.
- Motivate and encourage the team, providing timely constructive feedback.
- Lead the ESG assurance team through an exciting period of growth and expansion.
Requirements:
- Experience leading non-audit assurance teams specializing in ESG.
- Experience designing and implementing non-audit assurance work programs.
- Comfortable delivering ESG advisory projects, including double materiality assessments, gap analysis, and maturity assessments.
- High-level familiarity with ESG reporting frameworks and standards, including ISSB and CSRD.
- Ideal qualifications include ACA.
