Flexible Shift Options
We offer flexible shifts with part-time or full-time hours in one of our services located in Leicester. This provides an excellent opportunity for you to balance your work and personal life while making a meaningful difference in the lives of our service users.
Your Role as a Support Worker
As a Support Worker, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional care that truly makes a difference in the lives of our service users. Your key responsibilities will include:
- Assisting individuals with engaging in meaningful opportunities and activities, empowering them to enjoy a great life filled with amazing experiences.
- Participating in community activities such as social events or shopping trips to promote social interaction and independence.
- Communicating effectively with individuals, considering their unique communication needs, and helping them to express themselves confidently.
- Supporting individuals with personal care and hygiene needs, if required.
- Administering medication, if required, under the guidance of our clinical team.
- Assisting with meal preparation, cleaning, shopping, and planning daily activities to promote independence and confidence.
- Accompanying individuals to medical appointments to ensure they receive the necessary care and support.
- Encouraging participation in social activities to promote social interaction and a sense of belonging.
Essential Requirements
- Prior experience working with individuals with complex needs.
- A willingness to learn and develop your skills and knowledge.
- An ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
- Flexibility to adapt to changing situations and priorities.
- A valid driver's license, as some roles may require driving.
- Effective communication skills to build strong relationships with service users and colleagues.
