Asset Data Technician

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced High Level Technician to join our team at Navartis. As a key member of our Engineering team, you will be responsible for troubleshooting complex systems, performing fault analysis, and repairing electronics, electrical, and mechanical equipment of passenger trains.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Fault Finding and Troubleshooting: Utilize advanced testing equipment to identify and diagnose system failures, and implement preventative and corrective maintenance to ensure optimal train performance.
  • Defect Rectification: Develop and implement defect rectification plans to assist maintenance staff, providing short-term mitigation and long-term resolution to complex issues.
  • Asset Management: Analyze asset management data to predict risks and develop required interventions, identifying trends and developing improvement programs to enhance depot processes and fleet performance.
  • Process Improvement: Collaborate with the team to identify opportunities for process improvement, developing and implementing solutions to enhance depot processes, fleet processes, and Vehicle Maintenance Instructions.

Requirements:

  • Technical Expertise: Extensive knowledge of Mechanical and Electrical Engineering, with a recognized Mechanical/Electrical Engineering apprenticeship.
  • Electrical Fault Finding: Proven ability to identify, diagnose, and repair electrical faults using schematic drawings and supporting materials.
  • Qualifications: ONC or above in Mechanical/Electrical/Electronics/PC/Software qualification.
  • Industry Experience: Experience in the rail sector is highly desirable.
