Senior Principle Psychologist (Renal) - Clinical Health Psychology

About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Principle Psychologist to join our Renal Medicine Psychology team within the Clinical Health Psychology Department at Salford Royal Hospital.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide expert psychological input to patients suffering from end-stage renal failure, including those on dialysis and post-transplant.
  • Lead a team of junior psychologists, including Clinical/Counselling Psychologists, Assistant Psychologists, and Trainee Psychologists.
  • Offer high-quality leadership, consultation, and clinical input to the renal dialysis population, with a focus on complex trauma presentations and medical compliance difficulties.
  • Contribute to research related to psychological aspects of renal care.
  • Develop and implement evidence-based health care in the field of renal psychology.
