We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Teaching Assistant to join our team at a renowned Special Educational Needs (SEN) School Group in Kidderminster. As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting students with diverse needs, fostering a nurturing and inclusive learning environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist teachers in delivering tailored educational programs to students with special educational needs.
  • Support students' social, emotional, and academic development through one-on-one and group interactions.
  • Implement individualized education plans (IEPs) and contribute to their development and assessment.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive classroom atmosphere, promoting students' confidence and independence.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including teachers, therapists, and parents, to ensure holistic support for students.
  • Maintain accurate records of students' progress and contribute to regular progress reports.
  • Assist with classroom management and administrative tasks as needed.
Requirements:
  • A genuine passion for working with children and young people with special educational needs.
  • Previous experience in a similar role within an educational or care setting is highly desirable.
  • Relevant qualifications in education, childcare, or special needs support (e.g., CACHE Level 3, NVQ Level 2/3 in Supporting Teaching and Learning, etc.).
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, staff, and parents.
  • Patience, empathy, and a nurturing approach to supporting students with diverse needs.
