Job SummaryWe are seeking an experienced Regional Transport Manager to join our expanding Compliance team based in North Wales. As the successful candidate, you will be responsible for implementing continuous and effective management control of commercial vehicles and drivers in line with undertakings.
Main Responsibilities- Implement and maintain effective management control of commercial vehicles and drivers, ensuring compliance with policies and procedures.
- Support and guide business units on all aspects of transport operations, occupational road risk, and transport accreditations.
- Maintain accurate induction and compliance records for commercial drivers, ensuring they meet GTO Policies and are available for audit.
- Ensure all vehicles are properly maintained, with scheduled maintenance events completed on agreed dates and times, and comply with DVSA's guide to maintaining roadworthiness and Company Policies.
- Monitor commercial drivers' daily checks on vehicles and report any defects found, analysing data for non-compliance or trends and closing out training gaps accordingly.
- Work with business units to ensure telematics are fitted to vehicles, monitoring and analysing data for infringements to improve road safety and compliance.
- National CPC Holder with experience managing a large diverse fleet.
- Strong fleet background and experience dealing with complex issues and requirements.
- Capability to take ownership, responsibility, and work as part of a team to deliver high standards.
- Strong commitment to delivering high standards of customer service.
- Ability to prioritise workload and work under pressure to strict deadlines.
- Computer literate with a good working knowledge of Microsoft Office and other platforms.
- Category B Driving Licence as a minimum and ability to travel with overnight stays.
- 25 days' annual leave plus statutory holidays.
