Catering Assistant Role

We are seeking a dedicated Catering Assistant to join our team at Lancashire County Council. As a key member of our catering service, you will be responsible for providing high-quality, healthy meals to school children.
Key Responsibilities:- Prepare the dining area for service, including the moving and setting up of furniture and putting away
- Assist in the preparation, cooking and serving of food and beverages
- Clean all equipment and catering areas
- Ability to work as part of a team
- Ability to work under pressure and use own initiative
- Good customer care skills
- Previous catering and food preparation experience is essential
Working Hours/Days:
- Monday to Friday only
- Term time only
- 11.25 hours per week, although hours are variable depending upon school meal uptake
