About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and organized Service Assistant to join our team at St Georges Park Hospital, Morpeth. As a Service Assistant, you will play a vital role in maintaining the cleanliness and tidiness of our hospital facilities, ensuring a safe and healthy environment for patients, visitors, and staff.

Main Responsibilities

  • Clean and maintain offices, public areas, and service user areas to the highest standards.
  • Undertake routine duties with minimal supervision, including cleaning, laundry, and waste management.
  • Assist in basic food preparation and cleaning duties within designated kitchen/dining areas.

Person Specification

Essential

  • Ability to meet the mobility requirements of the post.

Desirable

  • Knowledge of cleaning and COSHH procedures.
  • Experience of service area catering, domestic, or portering.
  • Basic knowledge of hygiene, health, and safety.
