Job Description:

This role is a unique opportunity to join Computerworld Personnel Ltd as a Functional Safety Compliance Engineer. Based in Gloucestershire, you will be working for a leading engineering and scientific company that designs and installs high-value turn-key equipment globally.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Risk assess equipment designs to ensure compliance with safety standards.
  2. Identify and define system requirements for functional safety and provide expert advice.
  3. Assess designs of safety circuits and systems to achieve defined safety ratings.
  4. Generate related documentation and provide guidance and training as required.
  5. Undertake Machinery Safety assessments and manage aspects of '13849' Part 1 (& 2) and related Standards.

Requirements:

  • Qualified to HNC level in Electrical Engineering.
  • Experience with high-tech electrical/mechanical machines and power systems.
  • Familiarity with the Machinery Directive, Low Voltage Directive, or BS EN 60204 - Safety of Machinery.
  • Experience with adjustable speed electrical power drive systems safety requirements.

Salary and Benefits:

The salary range for this position is £45,000-£55,000 per annum, plus a comprehensive benefits package including discretionary annual bonus, group non-contributory pension, life assurance, private health cover option, 25 days holiday and bank holidays, and excellent training and career development opportunities.
