At Semtech, we are seeking a highly skilled Safety Engineer for Automotive Products to join our team in Bristol. This is an exciting opportunity to work on cutting-edge projects in the field of automotive functional safety.

Job Description:

The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the safety and reliability of our products, particularly those related to autonomous driving, sensors, and robotics. They will work closely with our design teams to develop and implement safety protocols, conduct risk assessments, and ensure compliance with industry standards such as ISO 26262.

We estimate that this role comes with a salary of approximately £80,000 per year, taking into account the seniority of the position and the location in Bristol. Requirements:

  • A minimum MSc degree in electrical/electronics, automotive or relevant degree.
  • 12+ years of professional experience in automotive systems and components, ability to understand communication, control, and processing sub systems.
  • Profound knowledge of hardware safety standards such as ISO 26262, IEC 61508.
  • Profound experience in safety verification and validation of sub systems.
  • Solid knowledge of Semiconductor manufacturing and product development for Automotive applications.
  • Expert Functional Safety Practitioner certification.
