Mission Planning Systems Engineer

An exciting opportunity has arisen to work with a dynamic team at MBDA, a leading defence organisation, to deliver a Mission Planning product for key domestic and export customers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conducting systems design activities for mission planning products.
- Providing key inputs to requirements capture, design freezes, system integration and testing through to full product verification and certification.
- Working closely with UK and French Systems and Software teams, as well as other parties to enable robust design and system validation.
Requirements:
- Understanding of System Engineering Process is essential with recent experience in a systems engineering role ideally across the full lifecycle.
- Experience in tools for Requirements Capture and Control (e.g. DOORS) and Configuration Management essential.
- Ability to communicate and work effectively in a collaborative environment spanning a number of teams and locations is essential.
- Experience of technical problem solving and a strong ability to think analytically.
- General understanding of mission planning principles would be beneficial.
- Engineering degree or equivalent.

- Company bonus: Up to £2,500 (based on company performance and will vary year to year)
- Pension: maximum total (employer and employee) contribution of up to 14%
- Overtime: opportunity for paid overtime
