Job Title: Podiatrist Specialist

This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled and motivated podiatrist to join our team at the NHS. As a Podiatrist Specialist, you will be responsible for providing high-quality podiatric care to patients with a wide range of clinical needs.

You will work autonomously and as part of the wider team, using your expertise to assess, diagnose, and treat patients with conditions such as high-risk diabetes, chronic disease, and acquired or congenital disabilities. You will also be responsible for maintaining accurate electronic clinical records and adhering to all service statements within the Podiatry Operational Guidelines.

We are looking for a podiatrist with a strong background in current podiatry practices and clinical issues, as well as experience in providing high-risk treatments and advanced biomechanical assessments. You will be required to work in a variety of clinical and community settings, including patient's homes, clinics, and hospitals.

The ideal candidate will have a positive attitude to change, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to teamwork and high standards of care. You will also be required to participate in the department's Clinical Governance initiatives and developments, including research and audit.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assess, diagnose, and treat patients with a wide range of clinical needs
  • Provide high-quality podiatric care in a variety of clinical and community settings
  • Maintain accurate electronic clinical records
  • Adhere to all service statements within the Podiatry Operational Guidelines
  • Participate in the department's Clinical Governance initiatives and developments
Requirements:
  • B.Sc. in Podiatric Medicine
  • HCPC Registered
  • Local Anaesthetic Certificate
  • Car Driver (Full Licence)
