Job Title: Podiatrist

We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic Podiatrist to join our team at Oxleas NHS Foundation Trust. This is a fixed-term post to cover maternity leave, providing an excellent opportunity to work with a dynamic and supportive team.

About the Role

This position will be based in the community, involving regular travel to different clinic sites and patient visits in their own homes and care settings. As a Podiatrist, you will provide assessment and treatment to clients with a range of foot health issues, including wound care and high-risk foot conditions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide comprehensive foot care services to clients in community and outreach clinics, hospitals, and care settings.
  • Develop and implement treatment plans, working closely with clients to achieve improved foot health outcomes.
  • Participate in specialist teams, undertaking high-risk patient caseloads and rotating through different podiatric specialist teams to maintain high clinical skills and knowledge.
  • Ensure the protection of clients' health and wellbeing, alerting others to concerns where necessary.
  • Refer clients to specialist teams or primary care services as required, dealing sensitively with complex health needs.
Person Specification

We are looking for a qualified and experienced Podiatrist with:

HCPC registration and BSc (Hons) Podiatry qualification.Minimum 12 months' experience as a band 5 Podiatrist, with previous NHS experience in wound care and domiciliary and nursing home experience.Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work in a fast-paced community setting.What We Offer
