Job Description:

EdEx is seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEN Classroom Assistant to join our team at a fantastic, creative, and friendly Primary School in the London Borough of Lewisham.

About the Role:
As a SEN Classroom Assistant, you will be working with Primary School children who have a range of SEN needs, including Autism / ASD, ADHD, SEMH, and behavioural difficulties. Your primary responsibility will be to provide individualized support to these students, enabling them to access the curriculum and reach their full potential.

Key Responsibilities:
• Supporting children with SEN across various year groups
• Collaborating with teachers to develop and implement individualized education plans
• Providing one-on-one support to students with SEN needs
• Assisting with lesson planning and preparation
• Maintaining accurate records of student progress

Requirements:
• Experience working with children with SEN
• Good understanding of SEN and its impact on students
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work collaboratively with teachers and other support staff
• Patience, empathy, and a willingness to learn
