Job Title: SEN Learning Support Assistant

Protocol Education is seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEN Learning Support Assistant to join our team. As a key member of our support staff, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality support to students with Special Educational Needs (SEN) in a classroom setting.

Job Type:

This is a permanent, term-time position with full-time hours (8:30-15:30). The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of SEN and be able to provide individualized support to students with varying needs.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide support to students with SEN in a classroom setting, implementing Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and promoting a positive learning environment.
  • Assist in managing challenging behavior and providing a safe learning environment for all students.
  • Collaborate with teaching staff and other support assistants to ensure seamless support for students.
  • Supervise students during break times and outings, promoting social, emotional, and mental well-being.
Requirements:
  • Teaching Assistant Level 1 qualification or equivalent.
  • Education background and experience working with students with SEN.
  • First aid training and knowledge of safeguarding procedures.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Additional qualifications in SEN support and understanding autism.
  • Training in behavior management techniques.
Working Conditions:
  • Work primarily in a classroom setting, with occasional outings or trips with students.
  • Collaborate with teaching staff and other support assistants to ensure seamless support for students.
  • Full-time hours with standard school term dates.
