Job Description

We are seeking a Stock Management Specialist to join our team in Newcastle-Upon-Tyne. As a Stock Management Specialist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the effective management of our warehouse facilities, which hold approximately 16,000 parts for all areas of our site.

You will be responsible for processing inbound deliveries, unloading and loading vehicles with Reach Truck FLT, and maintaining stock accuracy through the use of systems and administrative tasks. With a strong commitment to digitalisation, there are opportunities to support projects focused on improving processes and ways of working.

The ideal candidate will have current or previous experience of working within a warehouse, ideally within engineering stores, and be confident in recording and retrieving computer-based data. A working knowledge of Microsoft Office products, including Excel, is also essential.

With a competitive salary of around £35,000 per annum, we offer a strong total reward package, including attractive pension scheme, annual bonus earning potential, Healthshield medical plan, and 25 days holiday plus bank holidays.

Main Responsibilities:
  1. Manage the receipt, storage, and issue of stock, ensuring accurate inventory levels at all times.
  2. Process internal items taken from stock, identifying any discrepancies and investigating accordingly.
  3. Prepare outbound items, creating relevant shipping documents, packing goods, and booking shipments through couriers.
  4. Conduct cycle counts, creating count sheets, performing, and entering the count, and investigating any discrepancies.
