Our client, a leading manufacturer, is seeking an experienced Mechanical Maintenance Specialist to join their team in Purfleet, Essex. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining and repairing complex machinery and equipment, ensuring optimal production levels and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:- Liaise with production management to achieve production targets
- Carry out fault-finding and repair on packing machinery and process plant
- Perform general maintenance on processing and packing machinery
- Repair and install mechanical equipment using precision maintenance techniques
- Operate within Company Health and Safety policies
- Contribute to continuous improvement of equipment and participate in equipment health discussions
- Use the CMMS system to raise and update work orders
- Experience with PLC and pneumatic systems is an advantage (Siemens and Rockwell)
- Participate in risk assessment and method statements for maintenance tasks
- Understand maintenance metrics
- Support organisational goals
- Mentor and coach colleagues where needed
- Maintain company housekeeping standards
